PhilPOP Announced It’s 2013 Winners

The 2nd Philippine Popular Music Festival was held at the Meralco Theater on Saturday, July 20. PhilPOP, is a songwriting competition open to all amateur and professional Filipino composers in the Philippines.

It aims to celebrate the talent of Filipino songwriting, and glorify the contributions of songwriters and composers to the Filipino music industry.

The 2nd runner up is PANSAMANTAGAL by Jungee Marcelo.

The 1st runner up is KUNG ‘DI MAN by Johnoy Danao.
Interpreted by: Ney Dimaculangan.

And the Grand Prize winner is DATI by Thyro Alfaro and Yumi Lacsamana.
Interpreted by: Sam Concepcion, Tippy Dos Santos, and Quest.

It’s a song about reminiscing memories of that first love and how that special connection hasn’t changed,
