58 patay, sobra sa 500 sugatan sa pag ala “Rambo” ng suspect sa Las Vegas

Aabutin sa 58 katao ang namatay at higit sa 500 ang sugatan sa nangyaring mass shooting sa Las Vegas Hotel noong araw ng Linggo.

Ito ay matapos mag ala “Rambo” at magpaulan ng sunod sunod na putok ng baril ang lone gunman mula sa kanyang kwarto sa 32nd floor ng Las Vegas Hotel. Kinilala ang suspect na si Stephen Craig Paddock, 64 years old ng Mesquite, Navada.

Nagpaulan ito ng sunod sunod na putok mula sa kanyang kwarto sa Mandalay Beach Resort and Casino. Niratrat nito ang mga tao na nanonood ng country music festival na tinatayang umaabot sa 22,000 concertgoers. Nagtakbuhan naman sa iba’t ibang direksyon ang mga tao dahil sa takot.

Ito na ang ikinukunsidera na “worst mass shooting in modern American history.”

Ayon sa isang witness na si Meghan Kearney sa MSNBC “We heard what sounded like

firecrackers going off. Then all of a sudden we

heard what sounded like a machine gun.

People started screaming that they were hit. When we started running out, there were probably a couple hundred people on the ground.”

“People kept dropping and dropping … People were getting shot one foot away from us. People were trying to save their friends. There were gunshots everywhere. Helping them would’ve meant that we got shot, too.”

Nakatanggap ang mga pulis ng report sa krimen dakong alas 10 ng gabi (1 a.m. ET)

Sinabi ni Sheriff Joseph Lombardo ng Las Vegas Metropolitan Police na naniniwala ang mga otoridad na pinatay ni Paddock ang kanyang sarili. May mga ulat din na niratrat din siya ng mga pulis. September 28 pa naka check-in na ito sa hotel. May history umano ito ng pagiging lulong sa sugal.

Nakuha ng mga otoridad sa hotel room ng suspect ang 10 mga rifles.

Sa press conference noong Lunes sinabi ni Pres Donald Trump “Hundreds of our fellow citizens are now mourning the loss of a loved one. We cannot fathom their pain. We cannot imagine their loss. To the families of the victims we are praying for you. And we are here for you”

Tinawag ni Trump na “an act of pure evil” ang trahedya. Ang pangulo ay bibisita sa Las Vegas sa Miyerkoles.

Samantala, ang watawat sa White House at sa US Capitol ay naka half-mast tanda ng pagluluksa at pakikiramay.
